Singapore Strategic Cohorts Consortium (SSCC)

Funded by the National Cohorts Office (NCO), the Singapore Strategic Cohorts Consortium (SSCC) is a national resource established through existing population cohorts (SG100K, SCHS, SEED, SLAS-YS). It is designed to serve the broader research ecosystem, operating in alignment with internationally recognized FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reuseable).

Current SSCC priorities include:

  • Harmonising and aggregating data across cohorts: SG100K, SCHS, SEED and SLAS-YS.
  • Establishing a standardized framework for data access.
  • Implementing a Trusted Research Environment (TRE) to enable secure and responsible use of the consortium data.

The consortium includes the following cohorts:

Strategic Cohort Cohort Pl Host Institution Sample Size

Prof John Chambers
Nanyang Technological University
T1: 100,000
The Singapore Chinese Health Study (SCHS)
Prof Koh Woon Puay
